Greenleaf Hut

My hike from Lonesome Lake to the Greenleaf Hut was wonderful! I had fantastic views and a great attitude and sense of accomplishment; this intermediate hike up Old Bridal Path was difficult by doable. I saw no one else on the hike unlike the crowd of people who passed me up the Lonesome trail. It was more of the same rocky path and twice as long but it also had this wonderful view as I approached the top.

The hut lays at the base of Mount Lafayette with a view of Eagle Lake. Once I got settled in my bunkroom I sat outside where a group of people were gathered. I enjoyed the warm sun and had great conversations. I learned to play Pinnacle! We felt familiar with each other, easy conversations during our family style dinner. The guests this night did not include any kids giving it a different feel. This was one of my favorite nights and mornings. I woke at 5:00 and used the dining room to practice my Tai Chi.

You can see Mount Lafayette just past the hut. This would be the start of day three.
